Welcome to the Northern New York Rural Health Care Alliance. The Northern New York Rural Health Care Alliance is a New York State Department of Health Rural Health Network designed to meet the health needs of residents of northern New York through defined, cooperative efforts of local health providers. The Alliance was founded in 1992 as the result of the House of the Good Samaritan having received one of four pilot network planning grants from the NYS Office of Rural Health. The initiative continues to this day in concert with over 37 additional rural health networks throughout New York State. The Alliance serves all of Jefferson and Lewis County, and the six northern townships of Oswego County.
The membership of the Alliance consists of some of the most respected professionals in the healthcare community. Many have been part of the alliance since its inception in 1992. This year we are proud to welcome Ben Moore, CEO of the River Hospital in Alexandria Bay, NY as our newest member of the Alliance. We thank each and every member of the Alliance for their continued support and commitment.
