Overview:
M*A*S*H Camp is a unique opportunity for students entering grades 8th – 11th to experience the health care world in an interactive way. Many of us have often wondered if we could provide the task of a nurse, doctor, lab technician, pharmacist, etc. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to take advantage and experience the health care field of their choice and get their path star ted in the right direction for education towards that degree.

The 3-day session will help answer some of your questions and then provide you with a path to explore your options more in-depth. Regardless of which hospital you choose, each day will be different with interesting and thought-provoking exercises and activities that will give you a real life experience.

How Can I Sign Up?
The selection of the students is based on the following:
250-word essay stating the reason why you are interested in the M*A*S*H Camp program
A grade point average of 75 or above
Good attendance record of the student
Reference letter from an Instructor or Guidance Counselor
Parental/Guardian Consent Form

Requirements:
All students selected to participate in M*A*S*H Camp will need:
Signed consent forms by parent/guardian
Signed Photo Release forms by parent/guardian
Up-to-date and proof of immunization record
Up-to-date (within the last year) and proof that a TB Skin Test (ppd) has been conducted
Documentation to any allergies

There are not exceptions to these requirements. Students will not be allowed to participate if they are missing any of the above.

What is the cost to attend M*A*S*H Camp?
There is no cost to attend. Sponsorship for this experience has been obtained from the following: Northern New York Rural Health Care Alliance, Carthage Area Hospital, Lewis County General Hospital, River Hospital, Samaritan Medical Center, and Jefferson Community College.
